Wayne E. VanScyoc, 61, of rural Illinois, passed away at 10:40 a.m., Wednesday,  August 15, 2018, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Coles County, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 18 in the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Brother, Randy Black officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, August 17 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery, rural Neoga, with Military Services conducted by the Votaw-Swank Post # 458. He was born September 28, 1956, in Mattoon, the son of Robert T. and Dorothy L. (Goodwin) Van Scyoc. He was a graduate of Neoga High School and he earned his Associate Degree in college. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of rural Neoga and a member of several motorcycle groups. He served in the United States Army in Germany and Korea. He married Anita Cleeton, August 3, 1980, in Neoga and he later married Jodi Tieffel, July 2017, in Mattoon.

Wayne leaves his wife, Jodi Van Scyoc of Toledo: two daughters, LaKrisha Van Scyoc and Megan Van Scyoc and fiancee Brad Westendorf, all of rural Neoga; two sisters, Brenda (Kenny) Evrley of Pana and Nancy (Ted) Nadolny of Mattoon; three grandchildren, Heath, Kenly and Braylee Westendorf; several nieces and nephews.

Van Scyoc was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Adam Van Scyoc; one brother, Gerald Van Scyoc and one sister, Charlene Baker.
