Chester E. Clark age 91 of Farmersburg, Indiana formerly of Jasper County, Illinois passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at the South Wood Nursing Home Terre Haute, Indiana.

Memorial services celebrating Chester’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton with Rev. Brad Harper officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Redford Cemetery at a later date.

Chester was born on May 8, 1927 in Jasper County, Illinois the son of Tom and Gertrude Clark. Following high school, he served his country during WWII. In January of 1948, Chester married Katherine Colwell, she survives. Chester owned and operated C&C Tree Service until his retirement. In his free time, he made muzzle loading guns and was a faithful member of the Evening Shade Church in Mountain Grove, Missouri.

Chester will be loved and remembered by his wife of seventy years Katherine Clark of Farmersburg, IN; children Donnie Clark, wife Mary of Mountain Grove, MO, Tom Clark of St. Mary, MO, Roy Dean Clark, wife Julie of Willow Hill, Jeff Clark, wife Betty of Farmersburg, IN, Ray Clark, wife Becky of Dundas, Peggy Rogers of Noble, IL, Ted Clark, wife Debbie of Elizabeth, KY and Mike Clark, wife Pam of Dix, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His parents, daughter Carol Clark, and sister Rose Fillinger preceded him in death.
