Carol A. (Wilson) Chatham, 70, of St. Elmo, formerly of Brownstown, died at 8:38 a.m., Sunday, May 14, 2012 at Friendship Manor, St. Elmo.
Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown with Pee Wee
Denton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the family, donor’s choice or to

Carol was born on May 10, 1942 in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Beaulah (Ingram) Wilson. She had been a school cook and had waitressed at Bunyard’s Café of Vandalia and the Raceway Café of Brownstown. She was affiliated with the Christian Church and had been an avid bowler and member of the Bunyard’s Bowling Team.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Jones of Vandalia, Jerold Jones of Altamont and daughter, Lisa Jones (Bill Hancock) of Altamont. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kelsey Jones, Dillon Jones, Staci (Obie) Farmer, Brandi Smithson, Jaimie Jones, great grandchildren, Rhyan Smithson and Addison Smithson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step granddaughter Merrick Nolan.
