Timothy C. "Tim" Suckow, 55 of Montrose, passed away Friday morning, March 2, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Altamont, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials to donor's choice.
Tim was born January 4, 1963 in Vandalia, the son of Melvin C. and Linda (Storck) Suckow. He married Kathryn R. Tracy on August 9, 2008 and she survives. Tim was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the National Trail Amateur Radio Club. He had various jobs over the years, but what he loved most was working for the Spilker & Burrow Farms and helping to start Hilltop Maple Syrup & Honey Company.
Tim is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Montrose; mother, Linda Suckow of Altamont; five step-children, Heather Sapp of Farina, Malissa Sapp of Altamont, Katie Sapp of Effingham, Britany (Ryan) Spence of Effingham and Jared Sapp of Effingham; sister, Melissa (Andy) Voelker of Altamont; brothers, Jeff (Shay) Suckow and Jason (fiancé, Philicia) Suckow, both of Altamont and Scott (fiancé, Jessica) Suckow of Pana; thirteen step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin, on January 15, 2018. Also preceding him in death were his step-grandson, Joseph and step-great-granddaughter, Savannah.
