Lloyd Glenn Grotts, 80, of Saint Elmo, Illinois, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 21 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Randy Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Mulberry Grove City Cemetery, Mulberry Grove, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday prior to the service at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. He was born May 5, 1937 in Mulberry Grove, IL, the son of Elmer & Elva (Wehrle) Grotts. Lloyd was a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He drove for Kreider Truck Service and finished his driving career with ABF Trucking. Prior to driving a truck, Lloyd worked for Pet Milk Inc. In his younger years he loved playing sports with his kids and was a life long Cardinals fan.  Lloyd was a kidney transplant recipient in 1999, receiving a kidney from his son, David.

He is survived by: Beloved Companion, Leona Delaney, Saint Elmo, IL; Sons - Kenton Grotts, Greenville, IL, David Grotts & Bridget, Pocahontas, IL and Thomas Grotts, Mulberry Grove, IL; Daughter - Rhonda Hayes & Mark, Greenville, IL; Sister - Patsy Tedrick & Special Friend, Harold Thull, Mulberry Grove, IL; Sister In-law- Melba Grotts, Mulberry Grove, IL; 9 Grandchildren and 1Great Grand Child.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Grotts.
