Carol Louise Trulock, age 99, of Savoy, IL died on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at her home in Savoy.

A small graveside service for immediate family and friends will be held at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville, IL on Wednesday, November 15, at 2:30 pm. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancery Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research or to the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign.

Carol was born Friday, January 25, 1918 in Louisville, the daughter of Hal James and Irma Laura (Smith) Pulliam. She married William Dale "Dale" Trulock on August 23, 1941 in Louisville, Clay County, IL. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2014. Carol was a secretary as a young woman, but when Pearl Harbor was bombed, the newlyweds moved to Tulsa, OK so Dale could teach at Spartan Aircraft Academy to help train the pilots and mechanics for the WWII effort. In 1954, Carol and Dale had the opportunity to moved to Champaign, IL and Dale joined the faculty of the University of Illinois Institute of Aviation. Carol was an executive secretary in the Campus Planning Office for over 20 years, and they lived in Champaign/Savoy for the reminder of their lives. Carol and Dale were enthusiastic supporters of the Illini Athletics and were very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign. In addition, Carol belonged to women's associations, church bible study groups, and she loved to play the piano and bridge.

Preceding her in death were her parents Hal and Irma, husband Dale, and brother Warren Smith Pulliam.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Sue Trulock Miller and husband Don, and Janet Trulock Eardley and husband Tom. Carol and Dale were devoted to their three grandchildren Jason Thomas Eardley (wife Juli Florczyk), Thad David Miller and Lisa Janette Eardly Leonarduzzi. They were also blessed with five great grandchildren: triplets Braden, Conner and Grace Eardley, and Liliana June and Gia Serena Leonarduzzi.
