Mary Ann Stirewalt, 73, of Toledo, Illinois passed away at 5:50 am on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Clark Lindsey Village in Urbana, Illinois.
Memorial graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21 at the Toledo Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be from 12:00 to 3:00 pm following the service at the Greenup American Legion. Casual attire is requested by the family. Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Greenup American Legion.

Mary was born on March 21, 1944 in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Eva (Thompson) Lavenhagen. She married J. Dan Stirewalt on September 7, 1963. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2010.
Surviving is son Todd (Gayla) Stirewalt of Highland, IL and daughter Amy (Matthew) Eisenmenger of Tolono; grandchildren Cole J. Stirewalt, Tara Stirewalt, Ashley Eisenmenger, Emily Eisenmenger, Kailey Eisenmenger and Alexander Eisenmenger; brothers Jerry (Lorraine) Lavenhagen of Effingham and Wm. Bill (Mary Jo) Lavenhagen of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Mary was the president of Johnson-Stirewalt Construction Co. for 20 plus years. She also worked at Osh Kosh for over 15 years and spent time working for the Courier Newspaper in Champaign. She was a homemaker and loved attending her grandchildren’s events and taking bus trips with Pam.
