Geraldine Stratman (78) of Edgewood

Geraldine Stratman, 78, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, September 19 at the Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, Illinois with a two-hour visitation prior to service. Burial will be in the St. Anne Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois. Reverend Jim Giffin will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.

Geraldine was born May 4, 1939 in Glennonville, Missouri to Lawrence and Helena (Kerperien) Siebert. She married Leon Stratman in Corinth, Mississippi on October 17, 1956. Geraldine worked retail for many years. Geraldine like to work on puzzle books and do hand embroidery. She loved it when her grandchildren visited her.

Geraldine is survived by one son, James Stratman (Cindy) of Galconda, Illinois; one daughter, Brenda LaDew (Dave) of Edgewood, Illinois; one brother, Larry Siebert of Aurora, Illinois; two sisters, Marie Kuper of Missouri and Betty May of California; six grandchildren, Lena Roley (Quentin) of Stewardson, Amy LaDew of Terre Haute, Indiana, Tammy Burgess (Mark) of Aurora, Jay LaDew (Catrina) of Sullivan, Illinois and Scott Stratman (Lori) of Paducah, Kentucky; twelve great-grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, Tyler, Dylan, Michael, Courtney, Ronnie, Cody, Quentin, Keith, Ian and Haley; two grand-puppies, Luke and Kai. She is also survived by a special couple that would do anything for her, Dan and Sandy Feldhake.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter Cheryl Stratman; three brothers, John Siebert, Clarence Siebert, and Charles Siebert; three sisters, Evelyn Davis, Bernice Gailius, and Marge Moore.
