Donna June Lewis Mullen (68) of Newton

Donna June Mullen formerly known as Donna June Lewis, age 68, of Newton, Illinois, and formerly of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 8:25 AM - Sunday, September 3, 2017, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 7 at the First Baptist Church in Bogota, Illinois, with Garry Hostettler officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. Private burial will be in the Honey Cemetery in Bogota, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Meyer Funeral Home 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Donna was born on August 26, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Warren Moon Mullen and Jewel Marie (Bowen) Mullen. Donna was a caregiver for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bogota, Illinois and a faithful volunteer at Master’s Hands in Newton and Paralyzed Veterans. Donna enjoyed crocheting and spending time reading her Bible and sharing God’s word with other.

Donna is survived by: Children – Jimmy Dwayne Hankins of Carlinville, Illinois; Deborah Rene Lewis of Effingham, Illinois; Jennifer O’Neill (John) Cundiff of Altamont, Illinois and David Allen (Patricia) Hankins of Newton, Illinois; Siblings – Danny Warren (Sherry) Mullen of Wasco, California; Tommy O’Neill (Betty) Mullen of Shafter, California and Shelia Ann (Jeff) Culvard of Clovis, California; 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
