Jo Nell Hill, age 76, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 5:53 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25 at St. Elmo Christian Church in St. Elmo, Illinois. Tom Fedrigon will be officiating. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. Memorials may go to St. Elmo Christian Church or donor’s choice.

Jo Nell was born on May 16, 1941 in St Elmo, Illinois, the daughter of Joe R. and Clara Nell (Justice) Reeder. She married Jerry Hill on August 5, 1961. She loved to watch Jeopardy, online shopping at QVC and could grow anything with a little dirt. She especially enjoyed her family and looking after the grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Hill of St. Elmo, Illinois; three daughters, Stacey Vonderheide (husband Scott) of St. Elmo, Illinois, Christy Kilzer (husband Josh) of St. Elmo, Illinois, Jeri Fry (husband Todd) of Alvarado, Texas; one brother, Rex Reeder of St. Elmo, Illinois; one sister, Pamela Wilfinger (husband Phil) of Deer Creek, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Eli Lock (wife Brandy), Micah Noll (Kent Childress), Levi Lock (Lauren Becker), Brenden Noll (Emily Bone), Jordan Noll, Noah Kilzer, Rebekah Fry and Natalie Fry; eight great-grandchildren, Tristyn, Kade, Eli, Jaidyn, Paxton, Zaiden, Tracyn and Gannon; and two dogs, Daisy and Penny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Clara Nell Reeder; two grandsons, Joel and Zach Lock.
