Ted A. Gray, 62, of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 10:46 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Greenup.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19 at the Jewett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Ted was born on November 27, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, to Charlie and Olive (Cox) Gray. He married Rita Ann (Brummer) McMechan on September 25, 1995.
Surviving is his wife; children Tara Gray, Troy Gray, Tyler Gray, Jason (Roni Sue) McMechan, Josh (Tracie) McMechan, Bub (Lisa) McMechan, Jess (Amy) McMechan, Dona (Dave) Yaw; Brother Steve (Roberta) Gray; Sister Marsha (Mark) Hall; Grandchildren Landon Waldrop, Carter Gray, Jaton, Jasie, Gunnar, Jenna, Jade, Tayler, Jack, Ashley, Cael, Kinley, Aedan, Blake, Kade, Lilly and Leah McMechan, Breanna Cline, Sydney and Olivia Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ted retired from the Laborers Union Local #159, where he was a member for 30 plus years. He was also a member of Toledo Masonic Lodge #834 AF&AM.
