Barb Smith, 84, of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 12:38 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 14 at the Greenup United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday evening at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Greenup United Methodist Church, 201 N Kentucky St, Greenup, IL 62428.

Barb was born on April 20, 1933 in Montrose, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Margie (Cornwell) Scott. She married Dr. B. Pat Smith on October 21, 1956. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2011.
Surviving is son Steve, wife Doreen Smith of Norman, OK; daughter Leslie, husband Kevin Rowe of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Tyler Smith of Norman, OK, twins Stephanie & Rachel Rowe, and Jenna Rowe all of Elkhart, IN and Mark McKay of Mattoon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Don Scott.
Barb was a homemaker. She was a member of the Greenup United Methodist Church, where she was choir director and organist for over 40 years. During those years, she also played the organ for funeral services.
