Harry S. Ludwig, 90, of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 12:51 A. M. Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00  A. M. Wednesday, August 9, at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Sigel, with the Rev. Father Sunder Ery officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 P. M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, with a Parish Rosary at  6:00 P.M. at Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel. Memorials may be made to St. Michael School of Sigel, or to the Heartland Christian Village Activity Fund, Neoga, Illinois.

He was born December 30, 1926, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Stephen and Emma (Pike) Ludwig. Harry was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church of Sigel, Illinois. He married Mildred Greuel November 11, 1947 in Green Creek, Illinois. Mildred passed away April 9, 2013. Mr. Ludwig was a retired partner of Ludwig Lumber Company and he was also a farmer and a carpenter.

Mr. Ludwig leaves two sons, Steve  (Vicky) Ludwig and Gary (Karen) Ludwig all of Sigel; three daughters, Karen (Randy) Mayhall and Julie (Rick) Clayton all of Sigel, and Mary Beth (Calvin) Mitchell of Effingham, Illinois: fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Leonard Greuel; sisters-in-law, Norma (Louis) Greuel and  Margaret (Kenneth) Flood.

Mr. Ludwig was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; one great grandson, Charles Bogardus.
