Agnes was born November 15, 1923 in Lillyville, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Tegeler) Koelsch. She married Joseph J. “Joe” Kremer on April 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Agnes was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church for many years, as well as a member of the Teutopolis Council of Catholic Women. For over 60 years, she was a member of Secular Franciscans and was a board member of the Effingham County Right to Life. Agnes enjoyed attending church, crocheting, playing cards, eating pineapple, baking, enjoying the farm animals and going on numerous adventures with her family. She instilled in us the value of faith, family and hard work. The life lessons she taught us will be proudly carried on through her children and grandchildren. She was an inspiration to us all. We will forever be blessed by being able to call her Mom and Granny.
Agnes is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Liz” Kremer, Maurice Kremer, Marisa (Tom) Schabbing, Bernice (Doug) Schabbing; grandchildren, Lindsay (Zach) Budde, Nichole (Josh) Hooks, Jenessa Schabbing, Joseph Schabbing, Benjamin Schabbing, Corey Schabbing.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four siblings, Albert, Leo, Edward and Johanna.
