Hazel M. Grames (95) of St. Elmo

Hazel M. Grames, 95, of St. Elmo, died at 2:33 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Jim Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Moccasin. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Hazel was born on Sunday, February 12, 1922 in Brownstown, IL to Lewis and Nellie (Williams) Townsend. She married Clinton Grames and he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: sons, Garry Grames, St. Elmo, William ‘Dick’ Grames, Altamont and Dwight Grames, Brownstown; daughter, Mary Kline, Beecher City; brothers, Jack (Laverne) Townsend, Kell, and Charles (Linda) Townsend, Vandalia; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, 3 daughters, 8 brothers, and 3 sisters.
