Jack Glen Daugherty, age 84 of Louisville, IL, passed away at 1:05 pm Thursday, July 13, 2017, at his home in Louisville.

Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, July 15. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.

Jack was born Thursday, April 6, 1933 in Louisville, the son of the late Guy Daugherty and the late Vida (Wolf) Daugherty. On August 22, 1950 he was united in marriage in Noble, IL to Dorothy Barnfield who survives in Louisville.
 
He was a retired manager with Wabash Telephone Coop and a member of Red Brush Christian Church. Jack loved coon hunting, fishing and quail hunting as well as gardening.
 
Jack is survived by wife, Dorothy Daugherty; son, Mick and Linda Daugherty of Dahlgren, IL; daughter, Peggy and Larry Rinehart of Flora; sister, Kathleen (and the late Chub) Green; sister-in-law, Bernita Porter, brother-in-law, Bill Barnfield; grandchildren, Angie and Kent Darnell of Mc Leansboro, IL, Joe and Julie Rinehart of Mt. Vernon, IL, Eric and Jess Daugherty of Bluford, IL, Jacque and Zac Bridgeman of Pleasant Prairie, WI; great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kolby Darnell, Bayley, Jackson, Maxwell and Asher Rinehart, Wyatt and Emma Daugherty, Reagan, Morgan and Claire Bridgeman; and special adopted grandchildren, Ashely Camden and Sarah Aydt; and several special nieces and nephews.
