Luella Fern Livingston, 84, of Toledo, Illinois passed away at 9:15 am on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 16 at 3:00 pm at the Toledo Christian Church, with visitation preceding from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm until the service time. Rev. Greg Boldt will be officiating. Burial will be at the Toledo Cemetery. Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Toledo Christian Church.

She was born on June 16, 1933 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Lester and Oma (Price) Elliott. On May 8, 1955 she married Leonard James Livingston at the Toledo Christian Church; he preceded her in death on February 14, 2016.
Survivors include a son, Leonard E. Livingston, daughter Judy (Tony) Rinehart, both of Effingham and a daughter Carol (Jim) Morgan of Jewett; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Livingston of Toledo and one brother, Gary Elliott of St. Elmo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Janice James Nees and Dorsa Elliott and one great-grandchild.
She was a retired homemaker. She enjoyed having family get-togethers, and spending time with relatives at reunions. She also very much enjoyed some traveling including a few bus trips she was able to take. Over the years she was a member of both the Home Extension and the Women’s Country Club. She was a long-time member of the Toledo Christian Church. There she was the Sunday School Secretary for a number of years. She was also the faithful organizer of funeral dinners held at the church for more than 25 years, which was a service she really enjoyed doing.
