Becky J. Fedrigon, 55, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 2:52 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 in her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour before service time on Saturday both in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois or the Shelbyville Education Foundation to establish a scholarship in Becky’s name.

Becky was born February 4, 1962 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Dwight Beery and Dorothy Ann (Banks) Wooters. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1980. Becky continued her education at Lake Land College, Mattoon, IL, and then Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She devoted her life to teaching second grade at Main Street School in Shelbyville, IL. She considered it her “dream job” and retired after 32 years of teaching. Becky enjoyed walking and jogging outdoors and had a special place in her heart for animals. She was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and Fighting Illini Basketball and was a member of Shelby Christian Church in Shelbyville, IL. She married Alan Gene Fedrigon on October 25, 1986.
Becky is survived by her husband, Alan; sister, Beth Calvert (Dave) of Macon, IL; brother, Jeff Wooters (Heather) of Shelbyville, IL; sister-in-law, Denise Webster (Shawn) of Clinton, IL; brothers-in-law, Thomas Fedrigon (Cindi) of St. Elmo, IL and Timothy Fedrigon (Sally) of Atlanta, GA; 14 nieces and nephews, Derek and Brett Calvert, Brayton and Harrison Wooters, Theresa Taylor (Jared), Michael Starwalt (Nikki), Christopher Starwalt (Mandi), Amber Behrends (Bill), Jordan, Kaelyn, Gracie, and Elijah Fedrigon, and Jeremy and Emily Fedrigon; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Dorothy; infant sister, Diana Wooters; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marjorie and Gerald Fedrigon.
