Betty L. Lorton, 84, of Beecher City, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 3, 2017 with loved ones by her side.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Brother Chad Ruot officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Beecher City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Ruritan Senior Meals.

Betty was born January 15, 1933, in Loudon Township, the daughter of Wilburn and Lottchen (McArdle) Miller. She married Raymond Lorton on July 18, 1953. Betty lived a long and wonderful life. She dedicated her life to the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When not tending to the family, she could be found working on the farm, canning vegetables and raising puppies. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Cowden.

Betty is survived by her husband, Raymond of Beecher City; children Dennis (Angie) Lorton of Beecher City; Rick (Melissa) Lorton of Cowden and Janet Lorton of Beecher City; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Clarice Miller of Beecher City and Dorothy Miller of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Roger Wayne, one great-grandchild, sister Audrey Miller and brothers Dean, Roland and Keith Miller.
