Doris Marie Stuemke Evans White (83) of rural Dieterich, formerly of Altamont

Doris Marie (Stuemke-Evans) White, 83 years old of Dieterich formerly of Altamont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 5:30 AM at her home in rural Clay County near Dieterich where she made her residence for the past thirteen years.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday Afternoon June 17 at 4:00 PM in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Altamont with the Rev. Clayton Vail officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church prior to the funeral service. Burial Rites will be at the church cemetery immediately following the funeral service.

Doris was born into the Christian family one of four siblings to Arthur and Cordelia Hollman-Opfer. She began her long life on September 17, 1933 at the family farm in Lincoln, Missouri. She was baptized in Lincoln Missouri and confirmed at Blue Point Lutheran Church rural Altamont, after marrying Raymond, she was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church rural Altamont. Doris spent most of her time raising her family with the help of her husband and was employed for many years at the Carriage Inn and later McDonalds in Altamont. She married Raymond Carl Stuemke on November 1, 1953 and he died on December 8, 1987. She then married William Ford Evans on August 17, 1991 and he died on September 22, 1996. Then on May 1, 2004 she married Howard Dale White and he survives. Memorials may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Care Center and or the Donor’s Choice.
She is survived by her: Husband: Howard Dale White of Dieterich, Illinois; Son: Dennis Ray (wife, Mary) Stuemke of Altamont, Illinois; Daughters: June Elaine (husband, Michael) Carey of Altamont, Illinois and their 2- children: Kristie Lynn (husband Patrick) Waddell of Greenwood, Indiana and their 2- children Justin Michael and Lindsay Marie; Lisa Michele (husband, Justin) Roosa of Greenwood, Indiana and their 2- children Chesney Lynn and Brantley Michael; Nancy Kay (husband, Mark) Lindsey of Beloit, Wisconsin and their 2- children: Nicholas Aaron (wife, Jennifer) Lindsey of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and 2- children Gabriella Mae and Bria Nicole and Angela Renee (husband, John) Jennings of Plover, Wisconsin and 2- children Malachi Orion and Milo Altair; Brothers: Ed (wife, June) Opfer of Shobonier, Illinois, Jim (wife, Judy) Opfer of Palo Alto, California; Sister: Elaine Lange of Shobonier, Illinois; 2- Step Sons and 3- Step Daughters.
She was preceded in death by Her: Parents: Arthur & Cordelia Hollman-Opfer; Husband: Raymond Carl Stuemke; Husband: William Ford Evans; and Brother-in-law: Loren Lange.
