Lori S. Smith (52) of Effingham

Lori S. Smith, 52, of Effingham passed away at 10:58 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 in Avon, Indiana.

A memorial celebration will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20 at New Horizons Church in St. Elmo, with Pastor Pee Wee Denton officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Lori’s family to offset funeral expenses.

Lori was born March 23, 1965 in Blue Island, Illinois, the daughter of Bobby L. and Barbara R. (Robinson) Smith. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Ashley Smith (Kevin Golden) and granddaughter, Makaela, of Altamont; three brothers, Rick (Belinda) Smith and John (April) Smith, both of Indianapolis, Indiana and David Smith (special friend, Mary McKean) of St. Elmo; sister, Tammy (Larry) Choate of Louisville; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents.
