Jack Ladean Cutright, 90, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Chillicothe, IL, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at home in Winter Haven, with family at his side. 

Graveside services have been arranged by Barkley Funeral Chapel and will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 20 at Greenup Cemetery.

He was born in Greenup, IL, on April 13, 1926, to Edward O. and Letha B. (Bright) Cutright. He was a 1944 graduate of Greenup High School and a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran having served from 1944-1945. Jack married Velma “Jeanne” Lockhart on March 13, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2011.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lila Carr and Betty Snyder; his son Michael (Sherilynne) passed away on April 23, 2017. 

He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Cutright (William Hannigan-2010) of Lebanon, PA, and Patricia Cutright (Dixie Spencer) of Winter Haven; grandchildren Brandon Cutright of Chicago, IL and Ryan Cutright (Amanda) of East Peoria, IL; sister, Peggy Williams of Azusa, CA; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Jack was employed by the AT&SF Railroad Company for 38 years before he retired in 1988. He loved to fly when younger and had attained his commercial pilot license. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, building computers and visiting family and friends. He was an Amateur Radio Operator (HAM) for nearly 70 years and his call, K9HTM, will be issued a “Silent Key.”
