Shirley A. Clements age 78 of Greenville, passed away at 1:09 p.m. Sunday May 7, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13 in Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home with Darryl Bolen officiating. Interment will follow in McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport, IL. The family will receive friends from Noon on Saturday until service time. For those who desire memorials in Shirley's memory may be made to the First Christian Church or to Bond County Home Health or Hospice.

Shirley Ann Greer, the daughter of John Dwight Greer and Josephine Vivian Knutt Greer, was born on March 28, 1939 in Smithboro, IL. Shirley grew up there and in Greenville, attended Central School and graduating from Greenville High School in 1958. Shirley was the custodian at the Greenville High School for 33 years retiring in 2002. In retirement Shirley enjoyed her children, granddaughter, three great-granddaughters, walking 7 miles a day, her McDonald's Coffee friends and her dog Cup Cake.

Shirley and Charles E Clements were united in marriage on September 29, 1962 by Rev. Robert Adcock in Smithboro, and they have enjoyed over 54 years together. Charles survives and he and their girls have lovingly cared for Shirley at home during her long illness. Shirley is survived bytheir two daughters: Connie J. Bennett of Carlyle, Bonnie J. (Steve) Fogler of Vandalia, one granddaughter Tiffany (Fred) Hill, and three great-granddaughters: Marissa Mollet and her fiance Michael James, Makayla Mollet, and Kylie Hill.

Shirley is preceded in death by her father John D. Greer, mother Josephine Greer Elam, and her sister Sharon Greer.
