Sharon Kay Plummer, 66, of Montrose, IL, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Vibra Hospital of Springfield in Springfield, IL.

A celebration of life service for Sharon will be held at 12 noon Thursday, May 4 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Sharon to the donor’s choice.

Sharon was born on June 24, 1950, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Smith) Stewart. She married Donald D. Plummer on March 28, 1970, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2009. Sharon was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Greenup. She loved to crochet and read. She especially liked her cats. Sharon enjoyed playing Scrabble with her sisters and also spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived by her children, Julie (Steven) Davis of Montrose and Donnie (Robin) Plummer of Effingham; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Daniel (special friend, Kim Abbott) Plummer, Megan Davis, Rebecca Davis, and Shelby Plummer; sisters, Delores Stewart and Mary Stewart both of Altamont; and brother, Ralph (Norma) Stewart of Altamont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald.
