Patricia A. "Pat" Martin (86) of Effingham

Patricia A. “Pat” Martin, 86, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017, at her home surrounded by her five children.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 2 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Pat to St. Anthony Schools.

Patricia was born on November 26, 1930, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Ambrose A. and Evelyn A. (Petry) Feldhake. She married Lewis E. Martin at Fort Belvoir, VA, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2012. Pat was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a former member of the Effingham Country Club. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards, listening to live music, and attending the theatre. Pat especially loved the visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her children, Lynn (Phil) Tuman of Effingham, Bill (Judy) Martin of Teutopolis, Steve (Lori) Martin of Effingham, Debbie (Joe) Ungrund of Effingham, and Susie (Kenny) Cornell of Effingham; grandchildren, Ron (Jennifer) Niebrugge, Ryan Niebrugge, Adam (Shannon) Niebrugge, Andrew Tuman, Robert Tuman, Bill (Maranda) Martin, Bob (Ashley) Martin, Tony (Traci) Martin, Stephanie (Gabe) Rauch, Lewis (fiancée, Brooke Zerrusen) Martin, Jamie (Cory) Sayne, Jeremy (Tracy) Ungrund, Jeff (Bethany) Ungrund, Danny (Lisa) Cornell, Robby Cornell, and Julie (Justin) Heiden; 16 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Hauk; and sister-in-law, Barbara Feldhake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lew Martin; sister, Rosemary Hauk; and brother, Ambrose “Lee” Feldhake.
