Amanda Jo Leonard, 34, of Mt. Carmel and formerly of Newton, IL passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Gibson County Indiana.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 22 at the Cummins Church, rural Yale. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Hunt Cemetery behind the church. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Amanda was born in Olney, IL on July 25, 1982 to John Leonard Jr. and Elda Eastep.
Surviving are her three sons Martin Alexander Ervin, Twins Avery Daniel Ervin and Adam Lewis Ervin of Willow Hill; parents John of Rose Hill and Elda of Newton; brother Jesse Leonard of Newton; sister Hope Metz of Newton; grandparents Ruth Eastep of Newton and Sylvia Leonard of Greenup; uncles Randy, David and Donald Leonard and Kevin Eastep; aunts Taianne Newkirk and Mary Tarr.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers Earl Eastep and John Leonard Sr. and aunt Bonnie Jo Leonard.
Amanda was working at Toyota in Princeton, IN, and also had worked at the Old Mill, Newton Public Library, and cooked at The Drive in, and Rest haven Nursing Home. She graduated from Newton Community High School in 2000 and went to Lincoln Trail College and Eastern Illinois University. She enjoyed painting, But most of all she loved her boys.
