Ruby Rosaline Maples age 96, of Newton passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18 at the Falmouth Christian Chapel with Rev. Phil Young officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in the Chapel Cemetery, Falmouth, Illinois. Memorial gifts in honor of Ruby may be made to the Falmouth Christian Chapel.

Ruby was born on May 26, 1920 in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of John and Stella (Sowers) Leturno. On September 28, 1940, Ruby married Harold Maples. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2000. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, Ruby and Harold owned and operated a dairy farm. Ruby was a member of the Falmouth Christian Chapel. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Kent Maples of Moweaqua, IL, Linda Finn, husband Bob of Hidalgo, Robert Maples, wife Jo of Newton, and Jane Kibler, husband Royce of Normal, IL; grandchildren Rick Maples, Lisa Robling, Greg Maples, Jill Snearly, Gena Bogard, Brent Finn, and Brock Finn and Brandon Kibler; great grandchildren Jeffrey Wise, Samantha Wise, Mikah Maples, Jeske Maples, Marissa Snearly, Kylee Snearly, Dalton Snearly, Harold Elie, and Wyatt Finn and a great great granddaughter Lilly Wise.

Her husband Harold Maples, her children Gene Maples and Janice Helm as well as her daughter in law Ruby (Finn) Maples, her brother Denver and sister Irene preceded her in death.
