Linda Christine McCarty, age 67, of Kinmundy, passed away at her home at 10:05 am Friday, April 7, 2017.
Linda was born July 22, 1949 in Odin, IL, the daughter of the late John and the late Evelyn (Thompson) Burning. She was united in marriage to Darrell Leon McCarty on February 23, 1968, at Kinmundy Methodist Church in Kinmundy, IL.
She leaves to mourn her passing, husband Darrell of Kinmundy; sons, Jory Lee (Misty) McCarty of Salem, Jason L.(Julia) McCarty of Kinmundy; daughter, Kim (Gabe) Wright of Kinmundy; step-mother Brenda Burning of Centralia; brothers, Mike (Tammy) Burning of Walnut Hill, Jerry (Patty) Burning of Walnut Hill, Darrell (Bev) Thompson of Centralia, Darren (Cathy) Thompson of Centralia, Kevin (Amber) Burning of Vandalia, John (Jennifer) Burning, Vince (Billie Joe) Burning of Indiana; sisters Dolores (Randy) Cori of Herrin, Cherri (Tom) Bryan of Centralia, Debbie Thompson of Centralia, Tina (Kevin) Kelso of Sandoval; grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan and Wyatt McCarty, Jacob and Luke Wright, Michael and Rachel Finley and Braiden Hall.
She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Kelsie Rae McCarty, brother Raymond Burning, sister Vickie Groff.
Arrangements are entrusted to Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 11. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
