John David Maroon, 53, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Altamont, died, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at Gieseking Funeral Home on Saturday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Smith Grove Cemetery, Greenville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Ballard Nature Center, 5253 E. John David Maroon was born on Thursday, December 2, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri to Delbert and Ellie (McClain) Maroon. He was a 1982 graduate of Altamont Community High School, a graduate of Lake Land College, Mattoon, and attended Eastern Illinois University, Charleston.
He is survived by his parents, Delbert and Ellie Maroon of Altamont, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
