Marlene L. Vincent, 79, of Mattoon, formerly of Toledo, passed away at 12:34 A.M. Monday, March 27, 2017, in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County, Illinois.

As per the wishes of Mrs. Vincent her body will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marlene was born February 28, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Paul  and Florence "Flo" (Bough) Leonard. She married Paul C. Vincent, May 5, 1954 in Mattoon, Illinois. Marlene retired from the Embarrass River Basin Agency of Coles County Mental Health Department. Marlene was a member of the Toledo Baptist Church and the Home Bureau of Cumberland County. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. She also enjoyed being a hostess at Fox Ridge State Park for several years, she enjoyed the "Camping Life".

Marlene leaves her husband after sixty-three years, Paul Vincent of Mattoon, IL; two sons, Frank "Bub" Vincent and wife Kimberly, Howard Vincent all of Mattoon, IL; five daughters, Paula Vincent and special friend, Steve Neimeyer of Teutopolis, IL,  Peggy Scherrinsky and husband Todd of Toledo, IL, Mary Ann Shadow of Sullivan, IL, Tracy Roberts and husband Jack of Joelton, TN and Teresa Bierman and husband Charles of Watson, IL; two brothers, Frank Beals and wife Shirley and Fred Beals all of Trilla, IL; one sister, Sue Nichols of Trilla, IL; twenty-six grandchildren several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Vincent was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one grandson and one great granddaughter.
