John D. Maroon, 53, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Altamont, died, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at Gieseking Funeral Home at a later date. An announcement as to when will follow.
John David Maroon was born on Thursday, December 2, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri to Delbert and Ellie (McClain) Maroon. He was a 1983 graduate of Altamont Community High School, of Lake Land College, Mattoon, and attended Eastern Illinois University, Charleston.
He is survived by his parents, Delbert and Ellie Maroon of Altamont, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
