Betty was born on August 28, 1928, in Cumberland County, IL, the daughter of William and Ethel (Keller) Curtner. She married Billy L. “Bill” Boggs on September 12, 1948 in Effingham, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2009. Betty, along with husband Bill, owned and operated B and B Mobile Home Sales until 1992. She was an adventurous person who enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and camping. In fact, there was a time that you might catch Betty riding her trail bike through Shawnee Forrest or snowmobiling across Wisconsin. In addition to her Effingham friends, she had made lasting friendships from all over the country at her Florida RV Park where she would spend her winters. She especially liked to play cards. Betty was a fun grandma and enjoyed being involved in her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives. For her, the love of family was what she treasured most.
Betty is survived by her children, Dennis (Jo Ann) Boggs of Effingham, Donna (Michael) DeLuca of Charleston, and Ronnie Boggs of Lake St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Tracy (Mark) Maxedon and Tami (Jeff) Hutchison both of Effingham, Jason (Ellen) DeLuca of Plainfield, Chad (Jenny) DeLuca of Morgan Hill, CA, Blake (Kasey) Boggs of Wentzville, MO, Brooke Boggs of Chicago, and Brett Boggs of Chesterfield, MO; great-grandchildren, Myles and Molly Maxedon, Derek and Jacqui McDonald, Emma and Emilia DeLuca, Matthew and Cameron DeLuca, and Sonny Boggs; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers and sisters.
