Madison Nichole Schackmann, infant daughter of Eric and Sharon Schackmann of Newton, was born into the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 12:23 AM at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. She weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.

She is loved by her grandparents, Dan and Theresa Schackmann and Mike and Kim Blievernicht both of Newton, Illinois, and her aunts and uncles, Erin Schackmann of Effingham, Illinois, Nichole and Connor Walters of Newton, Illinois, and James Blievernicht of Newton, Illinois, great grandparents, Harold and Mildred Wolf of Altamont, Illinois, John and Irene Blievernicht of Teutopolis, Illinois, Margaret Flood of Jewett, Illinois and Eunice Schackmann of Newton, Illinois and great-great grandmother, Clara Wolf of Effingham, Illinois.

Madison was preceded in death by her older brother Ian Schackmann, her uncle Ryan Blievernicht and her Aunt Julie Schackmann.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM - Friday, March 10 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois and ½ hour before the mass. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM - Saturday, March 11 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Father Dean Probst celebrating mass. Burial will in the New St. Peter Cemetery, east of Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Madison, memorials may be made to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, an infant bereavement photography program, at www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
