Christie M. Wright (45) of Neoga

Christie M. Wright, 45, of Neoga, Illinois died at 9:37am Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, March 11 in the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga with Pastor Todd Krost officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11 until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Paradise Twp., Coles Co. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga, IL 62447 or to the ASPCA.

Christie was born October 27, 1971 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Marlene (Patterson) Daum. She married Steven K. Wright, June 1, 1996 in Mattoon. Christie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga. She taught at Eastern Illinois Special Education of Charleston. Her number one priority was her family and she enjoyed crocheting, camping and making jewelry.

Wright leaves her husband, Steven K. Wright of rural Neoga; two children, Myah Wright and Jesse Wright, both at home; mother, Marlene Saner of Springfield; sister, Melissa (husband Jon) Shoup of Springfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dexter and Marie Wright of rural Neoga.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Daum; step-father, Dick Saner and grandmother, Lora Patterson
