Gregory Thomas “Greg” Donsbach, 61, of Watson, IL, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Effingham. Burial will be on St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Greg to the donor’s choice.

Greg was born on July 19, 1955 in Effingham, IL, the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Walk) Donsbach. He married Kathy Lohman on June 12, 1982 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Effingham. Greg was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and the Effingham Knights of Columbus. He was employed at Quad Graphics in Effingham for over 41 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He liked spending time with his family and friends. Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Greg is survived by his wife, Kathy of Watson; son, Kyle Donsbach of Watson; grandchildren, Madison, Trevor, Lucas and Elijah; step-grandchildren, Kaylee Bridges and Michael Miller; special nephew, Brett Tabor of Watson; brothers, Mike (Jeanne) Donsbach of New Orleans, LA, Bob (Pam) Donsbach of Toledo, Randy (Amy) Donsbach of Effingham, Bill (Sandy) Donsbach of Altamont, David (Sally Henkelman) Donsbach of Effingham, and Steve (Joyce) Donsbach of Mason; sister, Cindy (Matt) Matteson of Effingham; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew “Andy” Donsbach; and his parents.
