Gwendolyn "Jodi" Dee Bushue, 82, of Effingham died at 5:18am Monday, February 20, 2017 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga.

Memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Rick Britton will be officiating. There will be a two hour viewing prior to the service. There will be a private family graveside service to follow. Jodi was born on January 1, 1935 in Upland, California to Claude and Dorothy (Roberts) Keithley. She married James Allen Bushue in March 9, 1957 in St. George, Utah. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Effingham, Illinois. Jodi grew up in California and loved spending time at the beach. She enjoyed spending time with friends and she loved the different jobs she had, especially switchboard operator at St. Anthony Hospital. Most of all, she loved her family and always put them first.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Bushue (Cindy) of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Jami Meinhart (husband Michael) of Dieterich, Illinois, Juli Petersen (Rodney Sparks) of Effingham, Illinois; one sister, Patricia Linson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 brothers-in-law, Dean Bushue (Marilyn), Larry Bushue (Sharon), Stan Bushue (Alice); sister-in-law, Glenda Hirtzel (Allen); 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Utley (Gene), Trevor Petersen, Kye Petersen, Toney Bushue, Luke Sparks, Wyatt Sparks; 5 great-grandchildren, Tayler Utley, Kaleb Utley, Zoey Petersen, Addey Petersen and Fynnian Petersen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Dorothy Keithley; husband, James Allen Bushue; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Gladys Bushue; brothers-in-law, Jay Linson and Gene Bushue; sister-in-law, Shirley Williams.
