Elsie Robinson, age 87, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11:20 a.m. at the Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Flora, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, Illinois. Bryan Wyrich will be officiating. Burial will be at the Edgewood Cemetery. There will be a one hour viewing prior to the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday. Memorials may go to Clay County Hospice or donor’s choice.

Elsie was born on June 11, 1929 in Champaign County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary (Shup) Yingst. She married Don Robinson on August 17, 1946 in Louisville, Illinois. She enjoyed camping, gardening, babysitting, quilting, crafting and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her seven daughters, Pearl Tolliver of Louisville, Illinois, Phyllis Ort of Flora, Illinois, Pam Nichols (husband Gene) of Flora, Illinois, Paula Dulaney of Haubstadt, Indiana, Patsy Thompson (husband Terry) of Stockton, Iowa, Phebe Robinson (husband Russell) of Flora, Illinois, and Penny Robinson of Flora, Illinois; sons, Percel John Robinson of Flora, Illinois, Pete Robinson (wife Angela) of Farina, Illinois, and Perry Robinson of Farina, Illinois; two brothers, John Yingst (wife Bernice) of Teutopolis, Illinois and Bob Yingst (wife Lydia) of Oreana, Illinois; four sisters, Gladys Austin (husband Roger) of Edgewood, Illinois, Connie Tipsword of Mason, Illinois, Elaine Karnes (husband Ivan) of Altamont, Illinois and Judy Long of Teutopolis, Illinois; 34 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Yingst; husband, Don Robinson; son, Phillip Robinson; 2 brothers, 10 sisters and 3 grandchildren.
