Robert E. “Bob” Lee, Jr., 69, of Teutopolis, IL, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24 at the First Baptist Church in Effingham, with Dr. Roger Marshall officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Effingham, IL. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Bob to the American Heart Association or Community Support Systems in Teutopolis.

Bob was born on April 21, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Robert E. Sr. and Edna Louise (Summers) Lee. He married Sharon Thoele on June 12, 1971 in Teutopolis, IL, and she survives. Bob graduated from Maplewood High School in Maplewood, MO in 1966. He was a salesman focused on photography, printing & graphics and electronics, and spent the remainder of his career running his own business, Creative Electronics & Photography. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Effingham, IL and spent many years as a Sunday school teacher and handling the Televised Ministry for the church. He was very outgoing and friendly. He loved spending time with his family, friends and colleagues. He was a movie buff and spent much of his free time watching new and classic motion pictures.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sharon of Teutopolis; 5 sons and 1 daughter, David (Gerry) Lee of Sigel, Sean (Denise) Lee of Effingham, Jonathan (Katherine) Lee of Teutopolis, Matthew Lee of Teutopolis, Tiffany Lee of New York, NY, and Christopher Lee of Nashville, TN; sister, Debbie (Jim) Crail of Medina, OH; brother, Joel (Kathryn Morse) Lee of Newport Beach, CA; 11 grandchildren, Trevor, Zachary, Bradon, Isabel, Jackson, Daniel, Joseph, Elayna, Abigail, Isaiah and Elijah; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Danny Ray Lee.
