Jane Pugsley (77) of Altamont

Jane Pugsley, 77, of Altamont died at 2:01pm Sunday, January 15, 2017 at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 21 at Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Friday. Memorials to Golden Circle Nutrition Center in Altamont or the donor's choice.

Jane was born on Friday, November 17, 1939 in Altamont to Louis Glenn and Emma Anne (Buchholz) Finfrock. Growing up in the Dexter community, she attended the McCoy School and Dexter Methodist Church. She married Danny Pugsley on January 3, 1965 at the Dexter Methodist Church. In 1980, Danny unexpectedly died and she continued to raise their two young children and later retired from Owens-Brockway, Vandalia. She was a member of New Horizons Church, St. Elmo. As a dedicated volunteer at the Golden Circle Nutrition Center, she assisted with the Meals-on-Wheels and her kind, soft-spoken smile was appreciated in the numerous capacities over the years where she bestowed her time.
Always treasuring her family she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sarah McCammon and her husband Travis of Altamont; son, Paul Pugsley and his wife Lynn of St. Elmo; granddaughters, Lacy Kennard and her husband Quentin of Altamont, Catherine Graves and her husband Blake of St. Elmo, and Elizabeth McCammon of Altamont; grandson, Daniel McCammon of Altamont; great grandson, Ezekiel Kennard of Altamont; great granddaughter, Jaynel Kennard of Altamont; brother, John W. Finfrock of Altamont; sisters, Mary Ann Young and her husband Gerald of Altamont and Allegra Ellis and her husband David of Altamont; brothers-in-law, Stanley Pugsley, Sr. of Pana and Dave Culp and his wife Nancy of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law, Marsha Finfrock of Altamont, Mary Jones of Fillmore, and Virginia Miller and her husband Jerry of Pana and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brother; Benson Finfrock; sisters, Sarah (James) Warren and Luella (Harland) Hooks.
