Barbara Ann Tarr Finn (75) of Dieterich

Barbara Ann Tarr Finn age 75 of Dieterich passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery at a later date.
Barbara was born on November 3, 1941 in Yale, Illinois the daughter of Roy Forrester and Ella Belle (Baker) Martin. On June 1, 1963, Barbara married Dale Eugene Tarr in Willow Hill, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2009. Barbara was a beautician and operated her own beauty shop for twelve years. Barbara attended the Newton Christian Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Newton. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed flower gardening, photography, sewing, ceramics, and Bluegrass music. Her favorite time was that spent with her family especially her great-granddaughter Adalyn.
Barbara will be loved and remembered by her daughter Salina Hemrich of Dieterich; grandchildren Leah Hemrich, special friend Scott Greuel of Sigel, IL and Broc Hemrich, special friend Marissa Gunn of Effingham; great-granddaughter Adalyn Hemrich of Effingham; brother Cecil Martin, wife Kazuko of Champaign, IL and sisters Carol Farrell, husband Bill of Casey and Deborah Pillers of Rockford, IL.
Her parents, husband Dale Tarr, and brother Alan Martin preceded her in death. Memorial gifts in honor of Barbara may be made to the HSHS Hospice of Southern Illinois.
