Venitta "Jane" DeCoy, 66, of rural Effingham died at 5:25am Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home near Lake Sara.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 13, at 11:00am at Kull Funeral Chapel in Altamont with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park in rural Effingham County. Visitation will be after 4pm Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the family of Jane DeCoy and or the Donor’s Choice

Jane was born June 25, 1950, the daughter and one of 6 siblings of Clifford and Nina Clampet-Goldman. She married Donald DeCoy Jr. on December 8, 1968 in Tamaroa, near Pinckneyville. Jane was a homemaker and with the help of her husband raised and cared for her family.
She is survived by her: Husband: Donald DeCoy Jr. of Effingham, Illinois...2-Sons: Donald Lee DeCoy of Effingham, Illinois and his son: Waylon William and David Waynne (wife, Jennifer) Decoy of Altamont, Illinois and their son: Dane Waynne DeCoy...5-Daughters: Tammy Lynn (husband, Bill) Moeglin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and their son: Dustin Simbro, Connie Jean (husband, Kevin) Habing of Effingham, Illinois and their Son: Kevin Michael Habing and his 2-children: Isabelle and Oakley...Daughter: Casandra Ann (husband, Steven) Caraway, Sherry Ann DeCoy and her 4-children: Cody Price and Trenton Gouchenouer, Chasta and Jessie Price, Donna Fay Dillion and her daughters: Breanna Miller and Kaylee Decoy, Karrie Beth (husband, Ryan) Smothers of St. Elmo, Illinois and their 4-children: Michael and Riley Miller, McKenzie Miller and Tasha Whitis...Sister: Phyllis Daniel of Tamaroa, Illinois...Sister In Law: Cindy (husband, Paul) Goldman...and Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her: Parents; 3- Brothers: Clifford Dale, Billy Rae and Paul Gene Goldman; and 1- Sister: Karen Harris.
