David Joel Moran, 74, of Manhattan, KS, formerly of Stewardson, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan.  
 
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Brummerstedt Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Evrard officiating.  Burial will be at the Stewardson Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.

Born July 3, 1942 in Stewardson, he was the son of Kenneth Lloyd and Cleo Marguerite (Jones) Moran. He was a graduate of Stew-Stras High School, attended Miracle Valley Bible College in AZ, and was a veteran of the United States Army.  On December 8, 1971, he and Mary Roussin were united in marriage in St. Louis, MO.  For nearly 30 years, David drove a bus for Trailways/Greyhound Bus Company.  He was a member of Good Fight of Faith Church in Effingham. 
 
He is survived by his wife Mary of Manhattan, KS; son Douglas (Lori) Moran of Arp, TX; two daughters, Christy (David) Craft of Manhattan, KS and Kelly (Robert) Schottman of Dieterich; 11 grandchildren; and three brothers, Dale (Marjorie) of Whitehouse, TX, Paul (Adelheid) Moran of Stuttgart, Germany, and Michael (Sheila) Moran of Decatur. Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Patrick.
