Eileen was born March 4, 1926 in Montrose, Illinois, the daughter of Piney Kidwell. She married Gerald “Bud” Ware March 28, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1986. Eileen spent years working as a waitress and in different factories. After her retirement, she worked as an in-home care giver. Eileen was always a care-giver at heart. She spent many years volunteering at the Life Center of Cumberland County and loved spending her time there. She loved to dance, especially square dancing and spent many hours working with dear friend Ernestine to revive the Hootenanny. She treasured her friendships with friends, Ernestine, Louise, Lucy and her best friend from childhood, Maxine. She thoroughly enjoyed her last four years residing at the Cumberland Rehab & Nursing Center, where she built many lasting friendships. Eileen was many things including, cake and ice cream lover, story teller, Cubs fan, dancing fool and spit fire. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family, never leaving her side. Though she lived a life of few worldly possessions, it was a life so rich, filled with the love of family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest possessions. A special thank you to the staff and residents at Cumberland Rehab & Nursing Center in Greenup for being her home for the last four years and making her part of your family.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan (husband Roger) Volkman of Greenup and Lori (husband Scott) Stults of Greenup; granddaughters Rennie O’Dell, Mckenzi (husband Jon) Easton, Sydney (husband Andy) Tipton; great-grandchildren Brittany (husband Nick) Hanfland, Micah Seibert, Jax and Huck Easton and Canaan Tipton; great-great-grandsons Jayton and Jace Hanfland; beloved cousin Nancy Jo Decker of Billings, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her mother, son Gary and an infant grandson.
