John Milleville, 89, of Altamont, died at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Dan Laack officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

John F. Milleville was born on Sunday, June 19, 1927 in Altamont to Clarence E. and Ruth (Schumacher) Milleville. He married Aleda Stein on June 20, 1949. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (E.L.C.A.), Altamont. He was a grain and dairy farmer, past volunteer fireman with the Altamont Fire Department, a long-time member of the Effingham County Fair Board and the Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs, and a member and served on the board of the Effingham-Clay Service Company.
He is survived by: wife over 67 years, Aleda Milleville of Altamont; sons, Dan (Brenda) Milleville, Glen (Lorrie) Milleville, Gary (Samantha) Milleville, and Russell Milleville, all of Altamont; daughters, Oleta (Jim) Weaver of Greenwood, IN, Juanita (Rick) Komosinski of Belle Vernon, PA, Rita (Wayne) Garn of Toms River, NJ, Mary Ann (Terry) Smith of St. Elmo, and Lois Milleville of Altamont; brother, Gene (Sonia) Milleville of Surprise, AZ; sister, Marilyn Jenkins of Prescott, AZ and Clara Louise Randall of Sun City, AZ; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, son, Leland Milleville, son-in-law, Mark Phillips, brothers-in-law, Paul Jenkins, Jim Lange and Dale Randall.
