Wildie Sue Stone, 84, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 5:37 A. M. Thursday, November 24, 2016, in the Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 28 in the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL, with the Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. Monday until service time at the Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday at the Oak Lawn Cemetery of St. Francisville, Illinois.

Sue was born November 29, 1931, in Jefferson County, Alabama, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Wright) Grove. She attended the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga. She married Herbert Mac Stone, September 8, 1951 in Desoto, Missouri and Mr. Stone passed away November 13, 2000. Sue was a housewife, a homemaker and a former Elementary School teacher. She also served in the United States Air Force, as a weather observer.
Mrs. Stone leaves one daughter, Amy Grove Lewis of Penacola, FI; two grandchildren, Patrick Nehrt and wife Barbie of Windsor, IL and Elizabeth Sue "Libby" Hemrich and husband Mike of Newton, IL; one brother, Ed Grove and wife Suzanne of Conway, SC; one sister, Elaine Grove of Penacola, FL; one great grandson, Nevaeh Culp of Windsor, IL.
Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Mac Stone; one daughter, Lucy Nehrt; one brother, Jack Grove; two sisters, Margaret Ann Anglin and Nina Sparkman.
