Beverly M. Wieder (78) of Effingham

Beverly M. Wieder, 78, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

According to Beverly’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held at this time. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Beverly to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 901 W. Jefferson Ave, Effingham, IL 62401.

Beverly was born on May 12, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edward and Erna (Taube) Hagbom. After meeting John Wieder in 1941, they married on May 18, 1957 in Chicago, IL. Beverly and her husband John moved to Effingham, IL in 1998. Beverly was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham. She also loved to read and make Christmas ornaments. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was a big part of Beverly’s life.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John Wieder of Effingham; children, James (Nancy) Wieder, Deborah (Robert) Cullen, Donna (Bob) Clark, all of New Lenox; grandchildren, Tina Cullen of New Lenox, Olivia (Dan) Olson of New Lenox, Char Cullen of Carol Stream, James (Christine) Wieder of Braidwood, Brianna Clark of New Lenox; great-grandchildren, Luke Cullen, Shawn Cullen, Logan Wieder, and Mason Wieder; sister, Marilyn Pertgen of Lockport; and 3 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
