Leona Faye Doty, 99, of Beecher City passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont surrounded by her loved ones.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 30 from 1:00p.m. until the time of service at 3:00p.m. at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Pastor Jay Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Beecher City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beecher City Branch Library and the Beecher City Kluthe Center.

Faye was born May 24, 1917 in Loudon Township in Beecher City, the daughter of Oura E. and Minnie (Riley) Doty. She married William Wilson Doty on March 8, 1936 in Holliday. He proceeded her in death on August 5, 1984.
Faye was retired from the Illinois Glove Factory in Effingham. She enjoyed using her knitting machine, spending time at the riverboats, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren.
Faye is survived by her daughter JoAn M. Evans and son-in-law Robert (Bob) Devore of Beecher City, grandsons Bill (Myrna) Evans, Jeff (Georgia) Evans of Beecher City and Greg (Terri) Evans of Effingham and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son Danny, daughter Betty F. Devore, grandchildren Micheal E. Evans, Cynthia L. Finfrock, Joseph G. Devore, great grandchildren Joshua A Stoneburner, Ashley M. Marquis, John Evans, a brother Eldo "Bud" and two sisters Fern Cain and Delva Doty.
