Ruby Holsapple, 99, of Toledo, Illinois passed away at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, October 29 at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church.

Ruby was born February 8, 1917 in Toledo, the daughter of Oscar and Eva (Christopher) Mock. She married Luke Holsapple December 25, 1935. He preceded her in death in 2010. Ruby was a homemaker. She retired as a cook from Cumberland High School and was also the Matron of the Cumberland County Jail. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.

Surviving are children Tommy Holsapple of Toledo, Bill (wife Kathy) Holsapple of Denver, Colo., Steve (wife Jeanie) Holsapple of Charleston, Linda Hollensbe of Creve Coeur, Mo., Carolyn Ulrey of Jonesboro, Ark. and Dennis (wife Cynthia) Holsapple of Lansing; daughter-in-law, Linda Holsapple of Greenup; sisters Madge St. John of Toledo, Lois Letner of Marshall and Jean Dial of Frankfort, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gary Holsapple; brother, John “Bill” Mock; sons-in-law, Jim Hollensbe and Phillip Ulrey and grandson, Kyle Hollensbe.
