Audrey Ann (Bland) Ragan, 87, of rural Windsor, IL, died at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Tim Yankee officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL.

Audrey was born on February 9, 1929 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Clayton DeWayne “Dutch” and Myrtle Anna (Kelly) Bland. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1947. Audrey worked for Sta-Rite Ginnie Lou, Inc. and the Garment Factory both in Shelbyville, IL. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Shelbyville and was very fond of animals. She married Rollin Hunter Ragan on October 26, 1955. He died on July 22, 2006.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Pat Bland of Centralia, IL, Jo Bland of Chapel Hill, NC, Wilma Ragan Spannagel of Strasburg, IL, Carol Ragan Jones (Bill) of Lincoln, IL and Corma Ragan Hurst of Peoria, IL; brothers-in-law, Robert Ragan and Merle Ragan both of Effingham, IL; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Doris Rothrock (Dean) of Shelbyville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rollin; brothers, Dale, Richard, Robert and Arnold Bland; sisters, Bettie Alverson and June McDaniel; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Ragan Schultz.
