Larry D. Landrus (75) of Trilla

Larry D. Landrus, 75, of Trilla died at 5:15pm Monday, September 26, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 29 at the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trilla, IL with Pastor Adam McReynolds of Trilla, IL and the Rev. F  Farney of Sullivan, IL officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Trilla, IL and for one hour at the church on Thursday before the services. Burial will be in the Beals Cemetery of Trilla, IL. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 301 Trilla Rd., Trilla, IL 62469.

Larry was born February 7, 1941 in Coles County, Illinois, the son of Rueben and Evelyn (Love) Landrus. He was a member of the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Trilla, Illinois. He was a retired Farmer, and he was also  retired from the Petty Printing Company of Effingham, IL. Larry enjoyed his family, friends, and he never met a stranger. Larry married Helen J. Righter, September 8, 1963 in Sullivan, IL.

He leaves his wife Helen Landrus of Trilla, IL,  after fifty-three years of marriage; two sons, Kevin Landrus and wife Penny of Sullivan, IL and Keith Landrus and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Cindy Hanley and husband Leon of Toledo, IL and Cheryl Verhagen  and husband Wayne of Decatur, IL; one brother, Lowell Landrus and wife Kay of Crossville, TN; one sister, Wanda McCormick of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah Hanley and wife Jamie, Daniel Hanley and wife Brittney, Jennifer England and husband Scott, Calen Landrus, Tristan Landrus, Mia Landrus, Gavin Landrus and Joseph Verhagen; seven great grandchildren.

Mr. Landrus was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Cy McCormick.
